I'm talking about the 50-60's stuff. listening to Texas Sensation right now and damn, that voice plus that guitar playing, easily the best blues artist of that era for me. the stuff from The!!!Beat is so good, wish i could find a better song on youtube:

    It goes without saying that Freddie King is one of the greats, so influential, so consistent.

    I'll ride for Freddie - he is one of the FEW people who can do a whole album of blues instrumentals without sounding boring. (And before you mention Earl Hooker, I gotta say he was a great guitarist but his albums get pretty tedious.)
