nah, not on the schedule, i'll be with my family.

maybe I should rephrase my question..

which is the best store of all these:

    In Beat Records
    Pop Shop
    Au Tourne Livre
    Le Exchange
    Marche Du-Disque
    Le Pickup
    Tuyau Musical
    Primitive
    Francophonies
    Beatnik
    Terminal Records
    Odyssey Books
    Mars Records + Reviews
    Redd Records
    Somusique
    AAA Records

thanks in advance to anyone with USEFUL info (unless you know of a combo strip club/ record spot, HAZ)

    cheers

Le pickup is the best of all these spots if you're looking for OG pressings. Everything else on that list carries re-issues or stuff you could find in TO for the same price. Beatnick is owned by a cool dude, but he ebays a lot of his interesting records. Too many of these guys sell their good stuff on the bay. Primative is nice, but he's kinda like a poor man's cosmos. The records are half as dope & are just a little cheaper.

Odyssey has 5 records. I'm surprised they're in the yellow pages
    AAA is reggae re-issues
    Tuyau is cds
Marche Du-Disque may have some CTI stuff, but nothing very obscure

The best guys to buy from in the city are private doods who sell out their house.

Get a lap dance @ Club Downtown. Run a search for Raj & crew's digging experience in MTL...

Pop Shop is cool, i sort of remember finding a few bits and pieces there.

Le Pickup is probably le best.

    Beatnick is worth dropping in.

Primitive- can't remember, but i think i hit that spot too.

BUt you best connect w/ Danno... he'll sell you some stuff.

Then we need to hook up as well. As for what to see, it seems to me like one of the worst line-ups in years. There are lots of mediocre local bands and middle of hte road internationl acts. Snooze. Still, there are some cool sounding free acts, including JAIPUR KAWA BRASS BAND on Thursday. Give me a shout.
