Otis Clay "I Paid the Price" and "Nothing to Look Forward to."
"Train In Vain" seems like a classic worth going back to in this situation.
I Don't Like You - Bo Diddley (piss off!)
Giving Up - Gladys Knight (sad, but time will heal)
Giving Up - D Hathaway (crippling sad)
I've Been Loving You Too Long - Ike and Tina (borderline begging sad)
Ohio Players- Love has died
Bobby Bland
Hell and Sorrow - Hortense Ellis (s/he was a soul destroyer)
Dead - Cresa Watson (the melodramatic route)
You're No Good - Cornell Campbell (you can see clearly now and good riddance!)
Harry Nillson-'You're Breakin' My Heart' (featuring the heart-mending lines "You're breakin my heart/you're tearing it apart/so fuck you"/)
Also his version of "No Regrets" on his album with Ann-Margret.
"But you had to fuck this lobster-head ass nigga I shoulda slapped ya but the Gods said chilllllllll"
Tony Bennett "I wanna be around"
i'll check some of these out.
puts- 'more than you know' is speaking to me right now.
fuck this sucks. shitty breathing. shitty sleeping.
Afghan Whigs - Congregation
yeah, i tried to no avail so had to start this new one.
TOO SHORT: "bitch"
the songs really spoke to me and what i wnet through
making a mix was good therapy listening to it later as well
Breakup of Dawn Mix
montreal has all the elements to get you back on track though
^^^^^
truer words never spoken. the future looks bright.
i'll d/l the mix when i get home...to put another nail in the coffin. thx
(i guess it's more of a cheating/revenge song than a breakup song, but whatever)
cat stevens - Trouble
and the above mentioned doranodo song is titled "Didnt I" not "didnt it"
sayin
