    There are a few tracks like this on the various Shawn Lee/Ping-Pong Orchestra LPs... off the top of my head, the titles 'In A Hurry', 'Indian Summer', 'Bollywood' stick out.... unfortunately, I dont have them with me in the office.

    thanks.. yeah it really lets you be more creative... I have a nice efx machine so should be interesting. Any LA heads want to come through its tomorrow night from 7-9 at Bergamot Station

    Don't forget Popo Vuh, a good portion of their catalog. Tabla beat science, although it's Laswellian, so I'll have to delete that portion of my post. TBS might be too heavy. but definitely check Popol Vuh's "Garden of Pharoahs" and so on.

    soul sitar, which was currently rereleased as a jazzman 7 inch

    there is this other sitar track on the dave pike set infrared LP

    and Klaus Doldinger sitar beat kicks ass as well

    It's not sitar, but that Salah Rageb tune Egpyt Strut on Jazzman is excellent.
