    Give Silversun Pickups a try. They're not exactly what you're looking for, but they're in the ballpark. And the female vocals are pretty cool, considering they're sung by a dude.

    See also Blonde Redhead. They're farther out of the MBV ballpark but still pussy enough for your needs, I expect.
