    i saw them open for the beastie boys with murphy's law back in 87 (?)!!!! and then multiple times after that!

    did anyone see the hybrid fishbone/red hot chili peppers/janes addiction band "trulio disgracious?"

    and i don't care what anyone thinks of them now but the red hots were the shit in the late 80's early 90's!

    From what I remember yeah, fun show. I bought a tape of theirs too at the show. Gotta dig it out and digitize it.

    I love Fishbone...I've seen them live more than I've seen any other touring band.

    Saw them on the first Lollapalooza tour in Dallas filling in for Nine Inch Nails.

    Also saw them a couple of months back...still great.

    I have worked with Fishbone on the live PA tip
    and witnessed them live a bunch of times in the late 80s,mid 90s and 3 years ago as a fan
    AND NO FUCKING ONE CAN TOUCH THEM
    EVAR
    .
    the meaning of professional
    adaptive,flexible,humble yet devestating

    Angelo is a ManGod
    Norwood is such an underrated bass player
    Fish and his replacement are /were like clocks
    special K was the nicest guy
    kirby is a genius
    these guys are the modern Funkadelic only no one realizes it

    etc etc
    .

    I beleive the Chilli Peepers STOLE a good proportion of Fishbone's thunder and sales/market share
    also fishbone were less comercial and schizophrenic with the metal/ska stuff
    -no one's fault just bad timing and that love for the whiteboy rock bands in that american buying demographic.

    Does anyone remember or ever see them when Angelo opens up the show in the middle of the audience and then works his way up onto the stage-sometimes with the bari strapped on
    next level human being

    also the fishbone/ curtis mayfield duet -he's a fly guy on the "i'm gonna git you sucka " ost is classic

    think i love these guys?
