lets talk about the wants/trades section

Don't get me wrong, I've made many a good trade over there (stoked to get Sylvers III just last week for a great deal) but.... is it me or is most everybody over there dudes w/ 5 posts that either supposedly have every raer in NM/NM condition for trade. Or almost worst when someone has a record you really want but they only have like 17 posts, I usually just balk since I don't really know em. (or because they don't respond to their pm's) Can anybody vouch for any of these people w/ under 100 posts? That would be much appreciated. and for those sellers, why not stick around, maybe drop some knowledge and get a little name going for yourself before jumping in, just a thought...DISCUSS

There is only one correct response to that.
And there's the ever popular "I will trade you twenty $10 records for that $200 record"
-----------------j*remy, don't hate.
Collectro Math???
haha, whats up Ryan?
last week, and 5 days later I had a NM/NM promo
copy in my hands ... it was from an OG Strutter,
though, so your newbie concerns aren't really related ...
just pointing out that despite the strong chance
that posting a want for a desirable record will
get chirped, it's still worth a try ...
Which LP?
used to have some ill trades but it got lildude pretty.
The grippe begins
It's things like this that make me glad I'm a little dude.
Yeah, I just said that.
Johnny Zamot, "Tell It Like It Is" on Decca -
not a massively rare record, but I have posted
wants for not incredibly expensive yet highly
desirable albums before and got no response ... but
in this case I had just lost out on one on eBay and
got this copy, which was in better condition, for $15
less than the one on eBay had ended at ... and I picked
up another highly desired LP from the same person in
the same transaction, so I am feeling pretty good about
the trades section now.
So, now let's talk about the sales forum, where people
try to set sale $20 Allen Toussaint LP's for $60
Ha ha, always a classic
Soul_syndrome's revenge, on Bollywood TV
HAHAHA
I still trade a handful of times a month, but mainly with people I'm friends with, so when an interesting record comes in I don't post it for the most part.
Guy A: "dude nobody posts cool stuff to trade in the trades section"
Guy B: "yeah I know. I never see interesting rare records for trade in there"
Guy A: "guys always want some crazy rare record like as if there are tons of spare copies around and everyone has one to trade!"
Guy C: "uh, guys..."
But yeah, 17 posts and under and I won't be doing trades with you. 18 posts is a whole different ballgame though!
Emphasis on try
Easy, I breaks my man off with a Benjamin for that one on the regular. You think he cares? He's gettin' that guap straight back through t-shirts. We are bros. LOLZERZ.
Is it worth the gripp?
STR8 BALLIN'
Just the record geek scene in microcausm.
BTW by "interesting" I don't mean "rare." My india navigation catalog could use some fleshing out, etc. I am just not interested in VG nite liters or whatever.
I've traded a handful of times in my life.
Do you want a clean copy of the Chico Freeman LP? I'll send it to you if you do.
