Horn - On the People`s Side (Special Records 1972)Anyone on here owns this record? I found it quite cheap in moscow and love it.. sick sick rhodes riffs. Is there more stuff from the band/ the label (Special Records) worth checking out?

    Moscow! I never would have guessed the album made it out there. It originates in Toronto and is not at all a common record. I found three together and never saw a copy again. As far as I know, it was a special pressing made by GRT with the help of Canadian media mogul Moses Znaimer. I don't believe there are other releases on "Special Records". There are Europeans who value it highly as obscure Canadian prog, but it seems largely under the radar.

    i disagree w/ this. there's lots floating around here in canada...
    always cheap ($1-15 CDN). very good value re price/content...

    there is a pre-people's side 45 on quality and according to my spiritual advisor DJ MOVES, a 2nd LP of ill repute...

    Maybe it's just my location. I never saw them in Quebec and I don't see them in now in NB.

    I found this record a while back as well and couldn't find any info on it. I agree it's good, but not my thing so I tried to sell it. It went unbid at $15 or $25.

    I do like that it has a pseudo-political vibe to the whole thing.

    thanks a lot guys. in the shop in moscow there were a few records that had a sleeve from a canadian recod store called "record box".. i bought a george russell one + some blue notes from the same canadian store. still lovely how they end up in moscow
