    Trio Mocoto does a nice instrumental cuica-heavy version on their Samba Rock LP.

    Not sure which one you're asking about but the Joao Gilberto LP shows up fairly regularly. The Trio Mocoto is a bitch to find on wax. Came out a few years back and I don't think they pressed that many. Great comeback record IMHO.

    It was just Cibo Matto actually, on their Super Relax LP (Grand Royal).
    Miho Hattori later did a couple Brazilian style EPs, with Beck tour guitarist Smokey Hormel, that were quite nice.
