    the Mp3 is the OG.

The best advice once you get one is to punch yourself in the face repeatedly. It'll save other people the bother.

yeah what he said. you should totally shut yourself out from
    making music with unconventional instruments.

  • depending on where you live, pawn shops are good. seriously. last time i was up in the bay, i passed a pawn shop in the mission district that had 5 of them on display in their window. was pretty tempted to buy one too.

  • Yeah, I found a used Hohner at a flea market yesterday for $20, It looked pretty cheap though, didn't know if there was a certain model to look for...

And I felt mocked. But have YOU actually listened to 80's Pablo LPs?????? Didn't think so. However, I was referring more generally to the concept of a strutter in 2007 with a Melodica.

hey, thanks for the condescending remarks!
i have, in fact, listened to augustus pablo's later records,
and while i didnt like them, you can hardly knock an instrument
    for his lack of originality.

on the other side, i liked manitoba 'up in flames'
and that albums full of it. but what do i know?
im just a 'strutter' with a melodica.
    SERIOUSLY

Had one a while back, sold it.
I would suggest instead a Kalimba/thumb piano (in the same price range) and you can get your Maurice White/Stanley Cowell on. Plus it's pretty hard to piss off those around you with a thumb piano, very easy with a melodica.
