depending on where you live, pawn shops are good. seriously. last time i was up in the bay, i passed a pawn shop in the mission district that had 5 of them on display in their window. was pretty tempted to buy one too.
And I felt mocked. But have YOU actually listened to 80's Pablo LPs?????? Didn't think so. However, I was referring more generally to the concept of a strutter in 2007 with a Melodica.

hey, thanks for the condescending remarks! i have, in fact, listened to augustus pablo's later records, and while i didnt like them, you can hardly knock an instrument for his lack of originality.
on the other side, i liked manitoba 'up in flames' and that albums full of it. but what do i know? im just a 'strutter' with a melodica. SERIOUSLY

I found one on the cover of another MP3 in a used furniture shop recently.
making music with unconventional instruments.
Not everyone is Augustus Pablo.

I would suggest instead a Kalimba/thumb piano (in the same price range) and you can get your Maurice White/Stanley Cowell on. Plus it's pretty hard to piss off those around you with a thumb piano, very easy with a melodica.
