    I haven't tried this but I don't think so...

    I know some akai samplers are backwards compatiable or can read multi formats but I'm pretty sure the sp isn't.

    Added to the fact unless it's had a new drive installed (At Forat) you should only put ds/dd disks in the drive.

    There is an app around Cdxtract that can convert any sound format Akai,Eks etc to any output format. I have found it very useful may be kicking arou nd the torrent sites as well.

    I dont know if that will help you
