i say hot. i was checking this album again today and i think "king of sorrow" and "by your side" rate up there with the classic stuff. i do think it's the weakest album but i'm getting excited about a new sade record. its about time. peace, stein. . .

Hot - of course. Weakest, possibly. Its a little reggae heavy which she's obvious about. I put LRock outside of her 4 joints. Its her post-baby album. Her voice and concepts reflect that.

As a Sade freak, I went to the only NYC Target store to cop the limited edition Target version w/ bonus tracks. Shit was a serious treck out to bubblefuck Queens. Crossin' highways and shit.

Nah I know some chicks who feel she's a bit too somber. I dont hang w/ them anymore.

  • least fav of all her work. the music is reeeeal boring. the neptunes remix gave me insight to what could/should have been musically.

Now everytime I look at Sade, I associate it with "I've always wanted to palm your forehead!"

    HOT

and yeah, the neptunes remix of by your side > the original version. i almost thought ol' girl had finally fell off when that single dropped- luckily the album restored my faith (and in time i did grow to appreciate that song)

  • the afrobeat (Cottonbelly's Fola mix-edit) version is even better than the neptunes one

all these tracks are on the Lover's Live double Cd (which are recorded from the same show as the Dvd), except Nothing Can Come Between Us.

    I like Cherry Pie.
