president of def jam? explain this to me pelase

ok, so Jay-Z is the president of def jam, right? and now JD (Jermaine Dupree) is the president of island def jam, is that correct? and they both answer to LA Reid, who is the chairman of island def jam??? this is all kind of confusing to me and i demand to have some answers to how all of this works, the whole structure of this and who is in charge of what. i'm trying to educate myself on these things

    Who's in charge of their music generally sucking? Because it seems like he or she is pulling more than their weight around there nowadays.
