Absolutley. One of my favorite movies of all time. I remember playing the shit out of the soundtrack too. Sampling from cassettes and all that
But back to the topic at hand...
I remember being shocked when Robin Harris passed away. It seemed like right when his career was reaching its peak - boom - he was gone.
Dude was funny no doubt. Shit just came naturally for him. Those parts in the movie, like at the party where Spike just let him improvise and do his thing are classic.

Didn't he pass away a couple months right after Redd Foxx?

I was just thinking about Robin Harris the other day when I got hassled for spare change by the homeless in front of my favorite bar for "helping me park my car" aka pointing the open parking spaces.
Homeless guy - "You got any spare change?"
Robin Harris - "You need to get yourself a spare job!"
do you think spike deserved to catch heat for his depiction of jews?
Yes. He knew what he was doing. No one likes their own medicine.
i hear that. damn good movie tho.
i remember seeing "do the right thing" and thinking that robin harris improvised almost all his lines, but it turned out that he didn't deviate from the script at all! dude just made dialouge funny. def one of the greats.

He released at least one album "bebe's Kids" in 1990 on a label based here in Los Angeles. Shit is probably myfavorite comedy album.

There are a couple of RH DVDs, but I think this is his only album.
