apologies to Cas, as i'm sorta biting his topic(http://www.soulstrut.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=776361&Main=776333#Post776361), but i just wanted a generalized post on skits off ANY group. I'm talking about skits that actually fit in their place, not some random sheit (like samuel on the second track of the clipse album, it seemed outta place) Say i wanted to make a mix tape compiled purely of skits. what should be in the top 50 of all time?

    -"U Mean I'm Not" and the one before "Black with N.V."-Black Sheep.
    -"Sandwiches"-The Beatnuts.
    -that harassing phone call skit on B.I.G.'s "Life After Death".
    -"Roosevelt Franklin"-Organized Konfusion.
    -That Big L & Showbiz skit on "Stunts, Blunts, & Hip-Hop".
    -"How to Roll a Blunt"-Redman.
    -the skit before "Beat Digger" on Quasimoto's "The Unseen".

    - "Blue and Cream" (this is not actually a skit according to the XXL Cuban Linx article; it's some real shit Ghost was saying that Rza caught on minidisk)

    - the Alkaholiks East Coast/West Coast slang interlude on "Coast to Coast"

    i kinda turned that into some other shit that i didn't intend to at first but than the morphology of the situation mutated into some classic strut 180 shit. this is the post that rootless wanted to make, but i hijacked the computer.

    i'll weigh in momentarily....james brown may have just died. lemme investigate.

    The one where I guess it's serch's moms is lambasting him on an answering machine message about being associated with hip hop due to some schitt she heard about Public Enemy is DEFINITELY

    I usually prefer real life skits (or at least those that SOUND like they're real) over the staged skits

    gotta love the ones on "Enter the Wu"... the nuts on a dresser schitt, the where my killer tape schitt...

    most ghostface skits are pretty hilarious

    For years after that, I couldn't say Halle Berry's name without saying it like D.O.C. does in that skit.
