i'm going to check out some 1210 mk5s in a few days. Is there anything I should look for when buying them? What are some things that might not be noticed by the naked eye? Sorry about the questions I just dont want to get ripped off.

    pretty simple - you want to test if they work so you might have to take a mixer and some headphones ... pan left, pan right, see if they are calibrated right (i.e the pitch control works - take doubles of a record if you have any), you could even try a different cartridge / needle



    basically if the signal is fine then the RCA plugs and tonearm wiring are probably fine, then your left with the two key mechanical things - the motor and pitch control



    the lil lights can be replaced, its good if they work tho
