Do I have to post a pic of a baby-oiled ass?
or do I have to pick a fight in order to get a response??
-status.
I gave it a listen, but I have no idea who it is. I would venture a guess that it's from the late 60s, as it has that rocksteady sound.
Paging K in Canada.
Thanks for checking it out.
Where is K?
What does the label look like? That might offer a clue. As someone says, it's probably late 60's.
I *think* I may know, but any other information could help.
Is this it?
A-side *might* be "Train To Skaville".
The bad thing is that a lot of Jamaican records, even today, don't have matrix numbers. Even if they did, that wouldn't stop someone from pressing up counterfeit copies. If a record was hot, someone could press some extra copies and sell it at their store and cash in on the big hit record.
Other than that, I wish I could help out more. Good song, whatever it may be.
EDIT: There's an audio sample of "Train To Skaville", by The Ethiopians, over at CD Universe:

If the song on the A-side is the same, then perhaps you can find out what the other song is by process of elimination.
