The Lemonade/REAL Jerky/Record Store post got me thinking....I've seen some pretty weird combinations over the years...Plenty of Barbershops that also sold records.I've been places that have sold records and....FurnitureRadio ShackPornAppliancesThe weirdest one was probably the guy in a small town east of Dallas that had a place that sold records and fresh eggs!!plaese add yours.

There's a warehouse up the road from me where you have to make a bulk deal on toilet rolls before he'll let you look through the records, and there are thousands & thousands of them.... And then he'll only sell if he's got doubles (but he'll tape it for you for a price)

there is no graemlin for the way i feel about this situation.

Alas, no; Weekend Records & Soap closed its doors about 2.5 years ago. It was, truly, Chicago's niche market for Detroit Techno and Obscure New Basement Recordings You've Never Heard Of.

And the soap was really really good.

There's a store in Finland that sells 45's, Tahitian health drinks and sun panels. Plus, they offer private detective services.

Theres a pharmacy with records here.

I was going to start a thread like this a while back. I always thought it would be cool to have an arcade/record store.

I remember going into a dollar store, and in the back was a box of albums and 12" singles from Nastymix. Perhaps a Washingtonian thing, but I just found it funny that on the same aisle as off-brand cookies, shampoo, and toilet cleaner were albums by Kid Sensation and High Performance.

I thought a record store/laundrymat would be neat.

i have actually thought of this as well....call me completely loony......but i love a laundrymat....gotta be clean and neat...but the clean clothes vibe is top shelf....that and it's a good place to just stop for a while while your clothes are a tumblin', read a book, relax....and to cop some records at the same time would be soooooo nice.

Ha, my old favorite spot was next door to a laundromat.

Actually, I used to work there on Sundays, and that was how
I got in the habit of bringing my laundry and doing it while
    working - - after I didn't work there anymore, I would still
bring my laundry over on Sundays and shop and hang out while
my clothes spun. I was just thinking today how much I miss
that Sunday tradition. And that store.
