What's crazy is that 1) that's actually a pretty nice neighborhood for that part of Berkeley - my cousin used to have a house a block away from there and though car break-ins can be rampant in Berkeley, high-jacking a UHaul is pretty gully. then again, during the academic year, there'd be far more people likely to be about, especially students walking to Clark Kerr, but right now, it's probably a lot more barren of people.
Well, it's highly unlikely the boosters ripped off the truck knowing about the records. I hope those folks were smart enough to post up at the Ashby flea market - one of the likely places they'd try to fence off 3000 LPs. They could try Amoeba and Rasputin too, let the buyers there know to keep an eye out for a huge sale.
