Wow. Must either be the US pressing or another Free Orbit LP that I don't know of. The second one with the girl AND the red label is the one that is being sold as original LP over here. I have never seen the other cover. Do you have any other info on the one with the eyeball?
It has the red MPS label; Bestell-Nr CRA 761 (654 371), MPS 14006. Label say it is made in Germany. I can read in the deadwax that production year is 1970, but there's no year stated on cover or label, though. Text in back cover is in German. Strangely, it's the only MPS record I ever saw that is not gatefold.
These all came from the same local yard sale today - the whole pile for $15 ... nice to get the Bombay Hard Way... Spoon record is the RED WAX version...
These are mostly ebay/set sale net grabs, except the Listening (which is DOPE) was copped at a local spot, found unpriced in a random box on the floor of mostly Christmas LP's for $7.99...thanks to A*i and Ja*ed for the set sale hook-ups:
Oh, and only one 45, but a total killer:
There are cheap copies of this all over eBay, get it if you don't got it.
NICE find on that Federal Mickey Murray... i passed on one years back (they wanted mega-loot) and even though it was too much, i still regret not goting nuts and getting it anyway.

Earl Carter is tipped a little too in favor of ballads (7 out of 10 tracks ) but the 3 funky tracks are pretty ill, and a few of the ballads are on point, too...I'll definitely hook them up for WD - the Listening & Bubble Gum Machine, too.

I'll ask some people about the Free Orbit you have. Looks very interesting.
There are many non-gatefold MPS pressings. All originals. Like Color in Jazz by Erwin Lehn or Everything by Smoke. Monty Alexander Rass! etc.
What is the Free Orbit LP like? It looks a little more promising than the other one. I like the music, but the siniging is a bit annoying sometimes.

Hey Grope
They are the same record, just different covers. You're right, the music is cool but the singing could be better.
Peace
Cool! Thanks a lot for the info. Much appreciated! I like the eyeball cover better.
You know that Udo Lindenberg (singing on the Free Orbit LP) played drums for Niagara (the titties cover one) and Emergency (Brain label and CBS), right?

Nah, all I know about Udo is that he is/was a german rock/pop singer. He doesn't appear in the record's personnel, and is credited as composer and writer of some songs. But I think he appears as Lyndon Berg (Gesang, Schlagzeug).

I think (?) this is also on the Jasman LP from 1985, which also has the (far superior) "Straighten It Out With Your Man".
