Wow....I didn't realize that and I follow the game pretty closely.....through what medium did he make these views be known??? Athletes seldom get asked about their political views?? The only reason Chris Jackson/Rauf got a reputation was because he refused to participate in the National Anthem.
The transition between NCAA and NBA is a big one.....here are a few players that were drafted in the first round the last 5-6 years that I thought would become STARS but have just faded away or are riding the pine....

Fuckin' Marcus Fizer was the shit this year....for the D-League's Austin Toros that is!!!
Man Rock, my Austin Mavs crew was super-hyped when we got Harvey outta Florida. I guess his game never grew to match his sick athleticism.
He wasn't a bust, but dammit I fuckin' loved Kenny Anderson at GT, and he never really got to the STAR level in the NBA.
Lethal Weapon 3 at Georgia Tech, who remembers the "third". Kenny Anderson, Da Den Scott and ????? NO GOOGLING.
Good points. I like Morrison's game, but he reminds me of a savvier Wally Sczerbiak. Not a bad thing, but not the player to turn a team around.
Sczerbiak was a name that came to mind, but Wally is more of a jock than Morrison.
IMO, Paxson was a bit more than just a shooter. He was one of those NBA joes that was a solid (if unspectacular) performer. He rarely turned the ball over, averaged 4 assists per game during the Bulls' contender years, was easily a 80% FT shooter, and was over 35% (career) from beyond the arc. Considering the fact that he played less than 30 MPG, that's a role player I wouldn't mind having on my team. Steve Kerr was more of a pure shooter (one of the best in NBA history at that), but he brought nothing else to the game.
UNLV was that year, one of the best college squads ever in my opinion.
I don't think anyone who knows college basketball will disagree with you; I also think most wonder whatever it was that Jimmy "the Fixer" might have said to them in that hot tub before that next duke game...

I think Owens might be the disappointment though. Dajuan Wagner shoulda tore it up. Lawrence Moten? Rodrick Rhodes? Randloph Childress? Todd Day? Lionel Simmons?
