Great. Some pure Ohio soul/funk goodness. I'll try and post a sample later. I was listening to this on the walk to work this morning and it really did make my day so much better.
I've been casually looking for that for several years and had kind of forgotten about it. I've never heard much of it but it was always something I hoped to stumble upon on a trip home to Ohio. I'm looking forward to your samples.
What is this? Indie rock? Cover looks like something outta a photoshop nightmare.
that upskiboo gave me a couple of days ago (thank yez )

I figured I'd bump this to see if there is any chance we might hear some samples of this.
Thanks
I've been looking around the net and I see on sike it sold for close to 300 a couple of years back. I'm guessing this is gonna really go up in price if any more copies come around (Which I doubt). I know my friend isn't selling his copy at time soon unless it's for the right price.
Oh well, I'm hoping I come across this somehow in Buffalo when I go visit a friend who was big in the Ohio scene back in the day.
I'll see if I can make it happen tonight when I get home.
Also, according to this there is an $800+ 45 to be found. And if it is any indication of quality, the Owl Records logo is the main page pic on Dante's Ohio Soul site.
Homegrown goodness.
Owl was the custom of customs in central Ohio during the mid-70s.
Wee has a rich pedigree in the Ohio soul scene, with ties to Kool Blues via singer Norman Whiteside.
Whiteside's story is a tragic one, with the man now residing in prison stemming from a botched robbery attempt that resulted in murder.
Sad stuff, and probably the reason the record hasn't been reissued.
Here's the other Wee material in addition to the LP:
"Try Me/ Teach Me How" (Owl 2)
"Stay/ I???m All Changed" (Owl 551-31) 1975
"Can You Boogie Real Hard/ Find Me Love" (Owl 7084-22) 1977
yes plaese
It's good that I'm getting out of this town. Sure, I can find lots of Canadian records, but another week or two and I'd be cutting my own private press smooth rock album and having a launch party attended only by me and the guys who work at the lumber mill up the street. Sawdust for days.
This is the a reissue on Easy Tempo.. Is it the same cover as
OG press???
i had that disco record you have in your avatar. but possibly ????
