at the Dub Wars dubstep thing at Avalon (moved from rothko...). anyways, dude could not have been cooler and was incredibly enthusiatic about dubstep and new music in general. he had a camcorder and was filming the crowd and the dj's... nice to meet an older cat whos tastes didn't freeze somewhere around 1990...

it essentially sounds like drum n bass w/o the double time "amen" samples... so, slow heavy hard electronic version of dub... when it hits hard w/ the basslines, it's the heaviest thing you've ever heard...

no, at Avalon (i.e. the limelight)... i said i SHOULD have asked him about Swizz, we did discuss how pigeonholing and labeling music is wack and the old quote that there's two types of music "good and bad"...
