...which I know you know about and might even own?
nah, i was actually talking to the dude who outbid me on that, and he said that wasn't what he was looking for, that there is an actual 12 inch EP Promo of Black Skinned Blue Eyed Boys (the studio version). he said, "Extremely rare!!! Danny Krivit and Victor Rosado have seen it with their own eyes!!!"
Because when "B.S.B.E.B." came out in the early[/b] seventies, they weren't making 12" singles yet...
eh, plenty of pre-12" tracks have since been released in that form, unremixed
I found one in Barcelona. Didn't pick it up though. Little dude move?
massive understatement... loft disco type dudes would give you their first born for that shit...
I can't tell if you're joking, but you need to reverse that theory.
BTW P-Gunn hipped me to the Muscle Shoals Horns version (he is seriously
obsessed with this track in all forms, as this thread helps prove) but I
have to say I'm glad I copped it for only $2 cause it was only ok.
Not awful, but not as exciting as I was led to believe.
"breakdown" came out about 5 years after the Equals version... yeah, "breakdown" is solid, not amazing, just cool to have an inst. version... i think the Map of Africa cover sucks ass... the Tony Morgan version however, is fire!
oh, and "the liquidator" isn't a cover of "i'll take you there"...
Morgan is old friends with Grant having recorded with him before he left the West Indies.
Yeah, I think that Map of Arica version is ass, too. However, Derrick Harriott's 7:09 minute disco style version is, um...MURDER!

yeah i've heard it, it's fire, i just don't have the $$$ to afford it!
I have the Spanish picture cover 12" of the original version which Victor would have peeped at mine at some point, so I guess that's the one in question, but anyhow the pressing isn't that great from a listening point of view, but I'll have to go dig it out
Usually your clips are facemelters, but this one is very to me... surprised it commands loot.
The version of "Whip It" right after it on the album is a personal fav.

how long is BSBEB on this?
Is this the one? Because that's what I passed on in Spain. If anyone wants to finance a trip back for me I'd be happy to re-dig this one for you.
