I've read that the hotels are supposed to be functioning at ~90% by the summer, but that the sand on the beach along hotel zone was washed away and has to be pumped back in from the ocean or something. I didn't see a timeline for when that would be completed and the beach restored. I'm not trying to go back just yet if conditions are not ideal for the kind of relaxation to which I'm accustomed.

I find that wherever you go people are as nice to you as you are to them. Now, in regards to luxury, privacy, cleanliness, and service, there are no better places in the Gulf, Atlantic, or Caribbean, than St. Barts or Anguilla.

Snottyness is the first indication of the nouveaux riche, being nice in this case does not mean inviting people over for dinner or even lengthy small talk, I meant cordiality and politness when asking for champagne, your bathrobe, or reservations. Also, truely rich people never complain about service, they just pack up and move to another, better hotel.
