Illusion
Society of Seven
Lemuria
There are bunch more.....I need a copy of "THESE TRAILS" bad.
Never said any of them were good. THESE TRAILS IS really good though.
Damn, I really like the Society of Seven LP I got. Did they do more than one? Mine has the jesus Christ Superstar number, and a Joe Tex cover too, I think.
and kinetic, that's the one i had. personally, i didnt really like it.
now im cornfused.
my nankuli sons record is a 2 tracker!
Aura (1978).
Tender leave
Blue light LP, it's certainly eccentric.
And some more,
A lot of it probably ended up in Japan on the radio, they know enough over there.
whattup rodneezy:
word that was the record I was trying to remember for this thread.
Raer to semi raer
These Trails
Greg Yoder-Dreamer of Life
Ira Nepus-trombonist for lemuria
Copper Nickel (this one has it's moments)
Non-Raer but quality, check albums by these artists:
Kalapana
Peter Moon Band
Sunday Manoa
Leonard Kwan
Gabby Pahinui
Cyrus Green
Mackey Feary
The stuff that leans more AOR like Aura, Toma Natto, Kasual,Kevin I, is worth alot to Japanese buyers, but I would take a Sunday Manoa over one of those any day.
Berkelew & Safford - Listen for the future
I guess I'm giving those away. Definately great.
I got the Aura 1977 one, wonder if it's the same group as the 1978 one. Anyone know about it ?
Recorded in SF?
Yes, but the cover image was made by a Hawaiian artist. And the vocalist is of the same volume and timbre as on the 1978 album. Nobody knows I guess.
Ira Nepus is not good at all, call it a nice solid terd.
These Trails is a total bowel hemorrage with every horrible fluid you can imagine flowing in a blissful stream of mellow gnarls. I'll pay heavy if anybody can hook me up. Was this recorded in Kauai? They have a song about Hanelei so I was always curious.
Anybody heard Illusion? It's on the same label as 'these trails'.
Yoder about Greg Yoder.....
My uncles records that I poached in Kauai were covered in sand. To this day his James Brown Live At the Apollo LP is the worst condition album I've ever seen.
I think it's the same group; the first is worth a lot of dough and the second isn't worth anything. The second one really sucks and the first is really good, if you're into small label horn rock (paging JacobWizzle)
Who's got that Danser's Inferno gremlinito?
id have to agree. im not much of a breakbeatraer type of guy. i just thought this nanakuli record was great cuz the 2 styles go hand in hand. smooth high falsetto, slack key, easy going vibe. i mean, does this not sound like a lowrider oldie? they actually did a cover of an el chicano song.
Not sure if you buy on ebay or whatnot...but this one is quite good and still mostly an unkown
