I found a huge pile of 10" library records that play at 78rpm but with an ordinary microgroove needle. I think most library records were released like this untill the end of the sixties. Anyway, I found a whole collection and bought all out-of-the-ordinary titles. Still, I have hundreds of 'm. These are particulary good:
Funny thing is, I have one called "Hypertension" which has the full The Avengers Theme[/b] on it. Only this is from 1961. Another one called "Dreaming in the Dark" from 1965 has The Charlies Angels Theme[/b] on it. I guess these were used for the pilots of the series and the subsequent composers were asked to do something very similar.
starting top left Billy Taylor Trio Ruth Ruth AAA/The Criminals G Love & Special Sauce Chubby Jackson All Stars Original Dixieland Jazzband Lou Stein Trio Cause For Alarm/Warzone Basie Charles Brown Bill Haley 88 Fingers Louie/Kid Dynamite
