    2 questions,

    1. it saves it as a .php or .flv file. I'm pretty sure .flv is Flash Video but how do you watch it? Do you need to DL a flash video player?

    2.Is there a way to convert these to MPEG or AVI?

    Day,

    VLC Media Player will play FLV files. Just make sure you get version 0.8.1, because they broke the support of FLV files in the versions that came out after this version.

    You can use a program like Sorenson Squeeze for the video conversion. Easy program to use, but i'm not too sure on the price. I just snagged my copy from work..

    I really recommend the Video Downloader that izm707 posted in the other YouTube thread. You can save as an AVI or MPEG, it's real easy. I got this a couple of days ago and have been a downloading foll ever since. Here is the info, courtesy of izm707...

    For PC users...if y'all want to sabe the vid you're watchin on youtube and save it as .AVI, then here's a proggie called vdownloader.

    here's the link to download it : http://www.enriquepuertas.com/wp-content/files/vdownloader.zip (right-click and choose "save target as...")

    the quality on youtube video sucks, pixellation blows. does the problem persist when you download?
