those are the few I could find right now, I have some more I think... "Down & Dirty" was released as an lp with a couple different tracks than the CD.
D-Shot's Boss Ballin'EP 12" is an SMG distribution too, I believe.

so is the click lp a jive pressing then? are they those weird mixes?
a full on smg discography would be a serious undertaking.
and on a semi related note - who got a strictly business discog for me? did they put out anything other than the mac, mac dre and one ray luv record?
I've never seen that Rhythm X 12", just the album.
The Click lp is not a Jive release and the samples are intact.
Yeah the SMG catalogue is thick, especially with all the early Tru and Master P output. Homie Charles put a lot of labels on their way. I perused the masters to all the SMG stuff, from what I understand there is some unreleased material but arranging the transfers is currently on hold.
As far as I've seen those are the 7 Strictly Business records vinyl-wise...
3 by the Mac
3 by Mac Dre
1 by Ray Luv
Solar add on
SMG/Strapped/Loz #? Erase : Strictly For the G'z lp 1994
so that album's on vinyl as well?
I've seen it on vinyl before. Yellow label, 11 tracks (including "Fuck and Get Up.") Wish I had picked it up.
anybody ever heard this???
KB-Dub - North Carolina Shocks Da World
curious if its any good...
Yeah, I was young, and $20 seemed like a lot for a record. If I could do it all over again, I've have way more records (and way more debt). Fuck fiscal responsibility.
I have it on CD (picked it up during my frantic quest to get every SMG release). It's okay. Came out in 1997, only on CD and tape. Not too memorable, but if you like excessive shout outs to NC, this is your thing. Just check the cover:
You can pick up a copy on Amazon for $1.34. Or let me know if you want a rip of it.
Scott, I have some burns I need to get you although it's possible you may already have some of them, hit me with the addy on the PM holmes.
Will do, Mr. B.
An interesting SMG release I'd recommend all Bay Area fans to check out is The Perk's self-titled 1995 album. On the surface, it seems to be Bay rap by the numbers: Vallejo rapper, first appearance on the West Coast Bad Boyz comp, production from Studio Ton, Stevie B, and others. Typical gangsta album, right? Wrong.
The beats are the mob style you'd expect, but the lyrics are non-violent & positive, without being corny. I don't think there's a single swear word on this EP. Dropped on CD and vinyl, and can be found for cheap.
So I still need Down and Dirty...if anyone stumbles acroos one please to yello.
On the look out for Too Short's "Get In Where You Fit In" 2 lp too (though I had one of these but searched through my crap to no avail)
That B-Legit would be nice too, but it looks like I'm gonna have to get in line for that one

these are all over the east coast, only problem is that i usually find just one lp (since the record came out in two seperate sleeves). finally got a complete copy recently. i'll keep an eye out though.
