70's live show from Etta with some funky covers liek "respect Yourself, some nice heartfelt renditions of songs like "I'd rather Go Blind" and some great adlibs including one where she belts out the word "cocksucker" during a cover of Otis Reddings "Can't Turn You Loose.
this is the 2nd LP I've found on the intermedia label. The other one is a Commodores LP with all pre-motown funk instrumentals (Alvin Cash and Sly Stone covers). Whats the deal on this label?
"In the field??"
That is one record I was really hoping to find on my NYC trip,
but no luck...
It's a mostly unremarkable hard rock record that
contains one awesome heavy instrumental with a fairly sick braek.
Staple of "break bins" around the globe these days.
nah, I paid a very fair sum and picked it up from fellow soulstrutter thenon.
After all the (ongoing) bullshit with that James Mason I got rooked on It's nice to have a smooth transaction with a good dealer/person (thanks J**n)
Word - TheNon is dude.
Nice score. Osmium done been on grail status with me for a minute.
I'm glad you're pleased with Osmium Ad*m
Peace

Crystal Mansion, reasonably average English Folk Band on Rare Earth circa.71
Buddy Miles, Against Me! - New folky punk from florida, they played here last night & I copped their latest double LP at the show, record 1 is black vinyl & record 2 is white. Anyways, great show, the only "new" punk band that I follow, if you are into upbeat, folky, country-tinged politicopunk, check them out. Late Atlantic Wilson Pickett, The Clash's 1st to finally replace an old dubbed cassette.
i'm familiar with rare earth but some light research on 'brass monkey' turned up inconclusive which is why i asked. the instrumental is quite heavy indeed.
First was a large pile of Bollywood that I turned into this small floor tile:
They're all good in one way or another - that Rocky soundtrack is like the Bollywood Chariots of the Gods - AWESOME.
Can't turn a title like this ('Let's Dance For the Great Guy Bruce Lee') down:
Also got some other random business from the same Beatles&Rare Stones store:
top to bottom it's Hidden Strength, 2X 20th Century steel band, a Prince Charles 12", 2 Boris Gardner LPs, Dakila, and the Voudounon EP.
along with some 45s - Soul Bros 6 - I'll Be Loving You, Yvonne Sterling - If you love me (let me know) and a few more.

I did take I90 west just yesterday - all the
way to 84 South and beyond, on the infamous Chinatown bus
down to Manhattan and hollered at GOOD Records NYC - all the
raves on here made it impossible not to check out.
Believe the hype - Jonny P is that dude, and his spot
makes for some very tough decision making when it's check-out time!
Thanks to JP and GRNYC for very good looks on trades, having dope
records and putting up with me trying to rush him through the deal
so I could make a movie...I only bought one other record in NYC
(at Underground, who had some pretty good deals on TFT's on the wall)
and it sucked so bad I can't even show it...
All courtesy GRNYC:
Doris Duke is raw female soul grail. Pair it with the Latimore for
a grown & sexy night at home with your signifigant other.
