Found out last min. that I'm going to Sarasota this weekend. Any suggestionsof good places to come away with some records? I usually hit up the goodwills on the trail and i was wondering if there were some fleas/swap meets/etc that are any help is really appreciated...also heard there is a show in Orlando this weekend. anybody got info? or thanksL

    orlando record show is february 19th
    there are a few spots to dig out there
    cant remember any of the names
    ask andrew... i think you have to pay for that info in blood though

    Good thing you posted that up because I was thinking of hittin' up Orlando for the record show. So what's up w/ Orlando?

    A lot of records for sure, warehouses worth... some deals to be had but big pieces are not gonna be cheap. Dude gave me the whole "Japanese come here every two months and spend thousands!" speech...

    the soul section there is a joke, I have found some things in the rock section. Dude will look up EVERY SINGLE RECORD you bring up on musicstack.com and then price them. $35 for Coffy Evolutions?

    They do get alot of dealers and international folk, and they DO NOT discount for bulk. Hell they may charge you more if they think your a dealer.

    Banana claims to be the world's largest record store. Could be true looking at the several million records stored in that wharehouse. However the folks who run that place have lousy pricing practices. None of the records are priced. Once you bring them to the counter it takes 5 min for the owner to check the record on Gemm and determine a price. Usually in the $30 range for a common LP.

    Rock N Roll Heaven in Orlando has a good selection of 45's. Owner Ray is knowledgeable and friendly.

    Approx half way between Orlando and Miami on the 95, in the city of Melbourne there is a record store called Play It Again. It is run by an old couple. Records are priced around $5 a piece, very decent LP selection.

    i havent hit up bananas yet but what yall are sayin about it makes me not want to bother
    got put on to a new spot out here this past weekend... heard they have a flavor jazz stock and very reasonable prices
    definitely bout that
