Stay Fly - Three Six MafiaThis beat is right up my alley (no ayo). I played this track like 15 or so times in a row, back to back, in my car the other night. The chorus? Smooooooooking. Sample-Flipping-Crunk is the new black.Welcome to Jamrock - D. MarleyThis song came out of nowhere and knocked my ass out. This KILLS it in clubs. Everybody gets all gully slowdance like to this. The video is on of the dopest ive ever seen. SUper low budget - dude is walking around the slums of JA in a pimped out suv, walkign through walls and shit. YES.Mic Check - Juelz SantanaJuelz gameshow-host like charisma is really put on display here. Love the beat, love the cock(no ayo)y lyrics. This had me wanting to make some jiggy-classical type beats, though i was too lazy to follow through on that. Dissapointed by the album, but hey, what did i really expect?Lighters Up - Lil KimKinda derivitive of Jamrock, and the chorus is kinda cringe inducing, but this track is dope. Lil Kim gives one of the best performances by a female rapper EVER. Legitimately dope lyrics, good flow, and more confidence in her voice then ever before.Diamonds from Sierra Leone rmx w/ Jay ZKind of a half ass attempt at a "message song", and Kanye kinda rubs me the wrong way (no ayo), but this beat makes me want to race futuristic hover cars across a vast, neon/effervescent desert. Also, Jay Z's verse is really tickling my fancy (no ayo).BONUS BEATSSIgns and Lets Get Blown. 04 so they cant make the list, but those are my essential rollerskating jams. What you got?

Looks like I came in the wrong door -- thought this was a thread about hip-hop. Hehe...
and the "Mule" by Z-Ro, ft Juvy & Devin.
I gotta side with the Junior Senator from Hawaii on this one.
And I'd like to point out that while "Welcome To Jamrock" (2004) and "Notorious" are incredible songs, neither is hip-hop by any stretch.
Shit kinda reminds me of:
Stay Fly - Three Six Mafia

Welcome to Jamrock - D. Marley

ponce
n : someone who procures customers for whores (in England they call a pimp a ponce)
Sooooooooo......... you're saying you've gotta be a pimp to like Marvin Gaye and Kanye??
Really?????
Ha, I love international interpretations. I meant more like 'poncey git', than the liberal meaning.
Lucky I didn't call you a 'nonce'... Ha ha ha...
Just giving back what I seem to get a lot.
Where's Planet btw???
Best single by a mile.
Nice beat, and the lyrics are amazing.
I don't think this explanation really clarifies matters for us Americans.
Does "ponce" = asshurt?
Amerie "love's off the chain"
Faith Evans "lucky day"
Paul Wall ft Bun B & Mike Jones "they don't know"
Pharell "Can I Have It Like That"
Rhymefest "Brand New"
Memphis Bleek "dear summer"
Juelz "Mic Check"
and of course "Stay Fly" is the undisputed champ
quite a strong year for commercial hiphop, I am impressed.
