Laptops soundcards

so I got a new packard bell easynote laptop and I need an external soundcard to hook up my amp-turntable to it. Any recommendation?

    I don't know the model number but afriend of mine just got an M-audio that sounded like a damn good deal. Four 1/4 inch ins and out I believe. Compatible with a lot of different software. Here is their site M-Audio Products

    If you don't mind not using ProTools, you can also consider Alesis Multimix (with more 1/4" inputs than M Audio's interfaces). Although I am not too sure about EMU's quality (EMU being the pro line of Creative labs), their PCMCIA-with-breakout-box (E-MU 1616M) has an input solely for turntable inputs, complete with ground lug and hardware RIAA preamp. I'm using ESI 610 and it's doing a capable job as well.
