Yup, and all this does is prove the bankruptcy of the UN. Thanks for that. I'm sure all the folks in this world starving and suffering under real tyrannical regimes didn't "miss" these either.

It's funny that the guy who gave us Schindler's List now gets the gas face from his people.

    Eat a dick.

Just out of curiosity, and I'll admit I don't honestly know enough about the situation between Israel and Palestine (maybe this will help enlighten me), but are the actions of Israel beyond reproach? It seems that anytime someone makes an opposing viewpoint about Israel people are quick to jump on them or have knee jerk reactions.

true. mine was an emotional response to a) the trailer, b) the movie poster and c) pronouncements Speilberg has made in the past and recently in relation to the movie. the movie poster says a lot to me about the philosophy behind this film. to paraphrase: "In 1972 some terrorists massacred the Israeli olympic team. here's what happened next." The message seems to be: "Sure, a bunch of innocent Israelis got got, but wait! Israel did some fucked up shit, too!" It seems pretty clear that he is trying to relativize a murder and a response to a murder. I just don't see a need to make a movie like that. especially not now. there's enough hatters in the world these days.

Can't comment on a movie I haven't seen, but I don't think the world needs this movie right now.

he's just trying to make a buck.

Are they releasing it in Iran?

I'm happy too I just have to run to a final right now.

Honestly I didn't want to see the thread degenerate again.

We were back on track with Movie Strut and then CorteztheHatter tried to instigate again.

If you're for real interested in my opinion I'll PM you later after my test.

More likely though I'll come back in a few hours and have to respond to some more ignorant shit (that's not directed toward you, Day, or Motown).

Either one is cool with me.

Been composing a responce. You write sensible stuff so I think a sincere answer is in order, not just something off the dome.

    Eat a dick.

At least you didn't call me an anti-semite, but still a typical knee-jerk response. The idea that the UN is bankrupt is a good topic for another time. I had a similar oonversation with a "libertarian" friend of mine a few nights ago.

By the way, I don't much care for Spielberg's films.

    Peace,

Sorry, man...I actually like Knoxville and am looking forward to this flick.

  • There is already a very good documentary about these events. I think this subject matter calls for a level of subtlety and thoughtfullness that Steven Spielberg will never be capable of.

How do you guys know so much about israel and shit? Thats amazing.

I want to see king kong, even if its just for the scene with all the sherpas.

I don't want to see the movie about the gay cowboys. Because I just don't care about gay cowboys, and also, if I wanted to see gay cowboys I can wait until I have to visit Texas again, where yes, all of the cowboys are gay.

I would, however, watch a movie about gay cowboys vs. a giant gorilla and a talking lion at the olympics.
