Music ADD / downloading sucks

if i'm downloading and/or sitting in front of my computer, i can rarely sit through an entire album let alone a whole song. i have a compulsive need to organize playlists and make sure everything's in order on my itunes. it causes me to only listen to about one minute of every track before i come across another song that i want to hear. i know this all began freshman year of college when some dude in my dorm came by and installed napster. napster seriously messed up my music listening habits... (yes, it has its benefits but that's not what i'm talking about here). not only do i get rushes of add when i'm listening on my computer now, but the music i've downloaded i don't appreciate as much. (this is the reason i have resisted soulseek). it's like if i want a song, i get it right away, and the instant gratification lessens the quality of the song. it's like fast food music. whereas finding that song or record in a bin in a dusty basement is like cooking a delicious homecooked meal. ordering it off the internet is like eating out at a restaurant.

I do however have a serious addiction to music I havent heard before. Its always been like that for me. when im making a cd for the car or an itunes playlist I usually sit back, put one in the air and figure out what i actually like.
DOwnloading has taken away a small part of that magic that i used to experience when getting a new album for the first time, but theres no turning back now and I wouldnt have it any other way.
Basicly, i hear what you are saying. But you should still get soulseek!
