This is a fun dobble!
"Just Chillin' Out" is the one I like to mess with the most...party breaks gone wild!
and finally got one of these on eBay for 10
and on Monday I found this for a buck! Way the fuck radd! Sounds like the Seeds backing Roy Orbison & shit!
came up on a few jammies this week:
1) Oliver Sain - So Good in the morning - HCRC - SEALED LP
2) Red Rodney - 1957 - Signal - NM - LP - (insert hype here)
3) Mickey & His Mice - The CrackerJack - Marti 45

peace
Fucking great record!
The car?
I've gone into basement record buys feeling fine to begin with, and still puked. It's all about the surgical mask and gloves...
45s
Freddie Wilson - What Would It Be Like (Soul-Po-Tion)
Evie Sands - Run Home To Your Mama (Blue Cat)
Johnny Robinson - Gotta Kick The Habbit (Mercury)
Johnny Young - Polly Wally (Sumpter)
Big Maybelle - Do Lord (Brunswick)
Jackie Lee - African Boo-Ga-Loo (Keymen)
Jimmy Hughes - I Want Justice (Fame)
Joe Mattews - You Better Mend Your Ways (Thelma)
Lavern Baker - Batman To The Rescue (Brunswick)
Gary US Bonds - I Wanna Holla (Legrand)
Larry,Charlette,Anita, and Ben - ...And We Struggle (Mr. Tinsley's Music) ***This is the craziest thing I've found in a while. Some percussion very faint in the backround with all four of these folks talking about Pimps and Hoes with STDs!!! This is definitly a strange piece.
LPs
John Bunyan's Progressive Pilgims - Apricot,Brandy, and Albatross (Alshire)
Anybody heard this thing? I couldn't find a picture of it.
nah not the car, just passed out/crashed. If I had crashed the car right after puking and feeling normal again, it would just be straight comical.
I have this one, it rules!
I want this one! My Bob-n-Earl extended fam collection will never be complete...
Is is instro, vocal, both?
Fatback Band - People Music
Big Maybelle - Saga of the Good Life & Hard Times (Rojac) - warped, but I'm hoping Fatback can work his magic on it
Greg Adams - Koolin Out (Hip City) - I haven't cracked the seal on this one, but it looks like a private press. Covers of "Little Bee's Poems", "Mr. PC" and others by Wayne Shorter and Joe Henderson. Looks cool.
and 3 10"(!) [/b] disco singles
- Frankie Valli - "Boomerang"
- Richard Hewson Orch. - "Love For Hire"
- More - "Toga"
D**i you've got the magic touch
aaaaah nice find.
i heard reverend shines from the lifesavas spin that on the radio the other night and it moved promptly to my wantlist.

Why can't I find this? Burned the CD from a friend over 2 years ago and still nothing. WTF!!!
Someone HELP!
[/rant over]
wow!
Faux_Rillz might holler at that Ann Peebles - be careful...
Yep,
I caught this one on the cheap a few years ago here in Beertown. Didn't realize cats were checkin' for it. You guys teach me all the time!!!
Peace,
Big Stacks from Kakalak
I expired my record karma for a while after last weekend, so my only lowly AP inspired finds this week:
and yet another minty copy of this burner:
jeah!
I caught a Gordon's as well but with no cover:
I also got the Shuggie jernt with "Strawberry Letter", some dollar bin modern soul stuff (mediocre shit, really) and a grip of "new rap" records (club stuff, bay, southern and "backpack" joints when I wento Las Vegas and visited the Hip-Hopsite store)
Wow, I just listened to these and they are all totally
In the mail today, enjoyed with a 20 of sticky shurfine payday green and a sam smith nut brown ale:
too bad, but at least you got a nice little bit-a Rojac B-More flavor
And cosign on Duke Pearson- phantom. One of my favorite things I've gotten in the last couple weeks, beautiful record.
Rey- DIE! What kind of record store would price those 2 bucks each? Must've been a swapmeet/thrift find I assume.
Local news is someone in Chi-town is trying to reissue the Deep City stuff. So many great reid tunes on that label. Him and Wille Clarke defined the Miami sound.
somehow fate really smiled upon me this week, I got that one and[/b] "Running Water" both in the span of 3 days, with a total of around $9 invested. I might like "Running Water" even more, it's crazy how "Dancin'" is mostly covers, but that one is all originals...it's fantastic, like singer-songwriter funk...
It's a top secret record spot. They regularly price that heat at $2 a piece.
