the Con Funk Shun track "Hide And Freak" got some bad ass vocoder. You find it on the 1982 LP "To The Max" on Mercury. One of my favs is also "V.I.D.E.O." by Serge Ponsar (from his 1983 LP "Back To The Light" on Warner Bros.).
Found another one: "Rise Up" by Active Force. You find it on their LP self titled 1983 LP on A & M. Only the chorus is done with vocoder, nevertheless its a great tune!
Here's another vocoder bomb: "So Good" by ADC Band, from their 1982 LP "Roll With The Punches" on Cotillion. Great LP, I'm listening to it right now. Produced by Bill Curtis and Gerry Thomas (Fatback Band).
don't forget the best vocoder song ever, B+ on WESTEND.
I don't know that one. Do you have a mp3 of this track?
Another dope vocoder track is "6th Street (Turn It Up)" by Mighty Fire. Its on their 2nd LP from 1982 on Elektra. I believe it was also released as 12".
I don't have the lp but the other 12" that is not featured on the lp called "love connection", i can really recommend it, funky midtempo stuff with a bassline that is perfect... also Home Boy is Cecil Lyde who also recorded on Alwest..

the next Home Boy And The C.O.L. - Money's Funny Change Is Strange
Comments
Kleeer "tonight" (might have been released on 7" and not 12"..)
And of course as i mentioned in the rap vocoder thread:
Dwayne Omarr "partys jam packed" & Newcleus "cyborg dance"..
