    not all rap with drum programming...if that were the case then all hip-hop would be electro rap. but i think of most rap pre-1986 but post 1982 or so as being electro rap because they were still using drum machines, not sampling as much yet. and electro to me doesn't just mean fast electronic music with 4/4 drums...shit like newcleus is electro and hip-hop but sounds much different than man parrish or alexander robotnick. but as far as the marley marl goes...think of what else he was doing at the time like the stuff on pop art or that Chicken Scratch record...that is electro rap to me...electro being short for electro funk. but whatever, i'm just trying to sell records. clearly i'm not doing a good job with the TRUE HIP HOP HEADZZZ!
