    she was in an alley

With respect to the life of the woman whose body was dismembered.

"Someone mawed and put my cock in"[/b]

Don't come around here angry. Lady and I we like to have our times. Yawn to yawn, praise to getting shit done. Penpals are so 1980. I've abandoned hopes. Retreat to ink and papyrus. Years of Palimpsest "She was in an alley." Promises. Here's to the next round. Hoping I get it right this time.

    "I Go Both Ways"[/b]

Having heated email exchanges with fellow strutters. Finding it's easier to talk when 3,000 people aren't listening. Make him watch me take his place. There's less at stake, and therefore, more to risk. Posturing in zeros and ones is a yawn. I'm more face-to-face, anyway. So, bring it. "Say it to my face." I go both ways was in fact an actual title of an email received from a male soulstrutter. Embrace your inner homo. "When I lived in the arse of the world..." Would you like to preview your post? (Good question.)

"I'll hold his arms, you fuck him"[/b]

Saw Egon at Neue last week. Still thinking. Trading drawing/portraits of the OBGYN for your girlfriend's abortion. Saddling (prostituting?) up with wealthy men; teaching their children the way of ink in exchange for money. Child pornography. Imprisonment. I do not feel punished; rather purified. Influenza! Syphilis! It's funny to me that we put people in glass after their dead and give audio tours ("walk left to view works on child pornography and imprisonment; walk right to see works traded for abortion") celebrating their lives -- the same lives (that, if lived outside the arts) we throw tomatoes at. Who deserves glass, then? I have the tendency to look over when it suits me and decry when not. " . . . equality will be indivisibly individual and collective."

To restrict the artist is a crime. It is to murder germinating life.

    --The Artist

    "YOU FUCKING SICKO CREEP!"

    --The Audience

"I would never be lacking for something to fuck"[/b]

...And one to fuck over. Discussing whether or not we are capable of discussing something seems pointless. Nearly as pointless as chastising someone for chastising someone. Try listening. I offer thoughts for consideration:

*On fame: "They made the mistake of confusing the sound with the music, and confusing celebrity with significance. It really made me sad."

*On art: I think the greatest of great art is made with a disregard for its audience. I don't think the audience has any right to expect anything from an artist, and the artist is wise if he follows his interests, wherever they lead. The art may not be as entertaining to us on the outside, maybe it will be, but at least it will be entirely his.

*On negro-clash: You can either make music for its own sake, or you can make music to serve a function. I find myself unmoved by functional music. I noticed this when disco as a genre came into being. Prior to that, people danced to music of many types that could be danced to. After that, an industry supplied music that was music only in the formal, dictionary sense. It was functional above any other consideration.

*On hipsters co-opting Black culture: White people are of themselves privileged in our society, and taking that as a "neutral" set of circumstances is retarded. Of course we hold sway over everyone else. We did it by force and intimidation for a long time, and we do it by momentum and institutionalized racism now. To deny this is to ignore the obvious. With power and privilege comes the responsibility not to be callous and demeaning to everyone else, particularly not the single class (black americans) who have been the target of abuse and discrimination for our entire existence as a nation. It's disgusting.

*On sports clich??s: There's no "I" in "Go Fuck Yourself."

"I would support an effort to bring them to the guillotine."[/b]

I forgot to mention that I happened upon a room of paintings from the CoBrA folks a few months ago. No better reason is needed to quote this telegram:

"GO TO HELL BASTARD--STOP--REFUSE PRIZE--STOP--NEVER ASKED FOR IT--STOP--AGAINST ALL DECENCY MIX ARTIST AGAINST HIS WILL IN YOUR PUBLICITY--STOP--I WANT PUBLIC CONFIRMATION NOT TO HAVE PARTICIPATED IN YOUR RIDICULOUS GAME."

[View these as a Top 5 or a Bottom 5 as you wish.]

    ??? life is good.
    ??? mice in my apartment

    d-con poison

    i had one last month

mice are harmless, they die off too quick to pass disease onward. rats on the other hand, aint no joke.

yeah, but cleaning up mouse poo & having them chew on shit is

I was using a humane trap, but they got wise. had to get the neck snapping kind. No poison. Last thing I wanna do is go searching for mice bodies that are smelling up the place.

  • i found a dead body once. i was so shook it felt like someone smacked me in the nose. like when your face goes numb. really gross feeling. i guess i felt like the dead body was gonna come back to life or something so i walked really slow and quietly around it.

Where does one "find" a dead body.

in the middle of the street. i mean, it wasnt like i discovered anything. there was this lump in the middle of the street and someone was standing there calling the cops.

    The Phuncky Cypress Hill Shit

    1. That Armies of the Night game you can play once you beat The Warriors video game in story mode. It's basically Double Dragon with characters from The Warriors. Way too much fun--more fun than the actual Warriors game, actually.

    2. Each beat I'm making these days is showing improvement over the last. I like that.

    3. The new Scion mix CD done up lovely by the Oakland Faders. Also, P.Ro, Young Phonics, and yours truly are represented lovely. And I guess I can't write about this mix without using this:

    4. Potential job--and a good one, from the looks of it--on the horizon.

Hahaha, I knew as I was writing that that I would get a response like this. And all I have to say back is:

"Huh-huh-huh, is he talking about humping a hound?"

    A night out drinking:

    1. New 12" comes out tomorrow (yay)
    2. began working on my album (this is gonna be more work than I imagined)
    3. BOTH KIDS GOING TO SCHOOL NOW! Even though it's just 2 days a week for the little dude, split between my days off and my wife's that gives us each a solid day of peace. It's hard to believe.
    4. Pops settlement is finally resoved
    5. Trying to stay optimistic

    The morning after:

    1. Got some kind of stomach flu over the weekend and I can't seem to shake it off completely. Mad sluggish, generaly feeling rather shittay.
    2. Anxiety + stress = frustration & anger
    3. Certain people on here really annoy the fuck out of me

P*****k, I'm really sorry to hear about your dad. Call me up when you get a minute.

Finally!! It's been on my Outlook calendar... 'buy 2 copies of Gone Bad'. Where's it gonna be stocked?

    John Belushi[/b]

    1) Selling records on eBay to buy more records. What a concept! Ananda Shankar & His Music on the way and all it cost me was a few garbage dollar bin finds.

    2) My company got bought out a while ago but the deal didn't officially close until yesterday. Mad stock bonus coming! PalmSource

    3) Holidays coming. Yay! Going to LA for Thanksgiving and Massachusetts for Christmas. Basically I don't have to work until January.

    4) Got a gig on Friday where they actually want me to play rare groove instead of me just playing it and having everyone get pissed at me.

    5) Finally filled the Incredible Bongo Band LP hole in my collection. Jeepers.

    Jim Belushi[/b]

    1) It's dark when I get home now so I have to go running in the morning before work to keep my strapping young male figure. Boo daylight savings time.

    2) The extension of number 1... winter's coming. Time to get super pale again.

    3) I'm kinda bored of my job and am really itching for a change but I don't know for what and where so I just get all confused when I try and think about it.

    4) I'm 25 and my house threw a toga party last weekend. We need to grow up or I need to move.

    5) And the lowest of the low is... having to resort to MySpace to look up what the girl looked like that I hooked up with on Saturday night cuz I was too wasted to remember. Sangria is bad news.
