    I guess after being totally hell-bent on "soul jazz" for a few years I've just become super critical of the genre. I suppose I should try hearing this again, it's been a while.

    btw, i remember seeing some 60's black/white footage with nathan playing with i think it was art blakey and the jazz messengers, AWESOME!!!

    yes they played together in 1965 in berlin and paris with freddie hubbard, jaki byard & reggie workman .... the berlin concert has been recorded but i dont think it was released on LP
