So folls, what's good for playin' out at a Christmas party? I'm trying to keep it more or less on topic, but not be a Firestone Xmas LP snooze-a-thon. Suggestions for holiday themed music, por favor.I'm thinking of a Funk/Christmas party combo. Do the JBs go well with Egg Nog?

Some nice soulful xmas tracks in there. Lou Rawls 'Christmas Will Really Be Christmas' would fit in nicely, too.

In the pop department, I have to admit, I have always had an affinity for 'Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time' by Paul McCartney. Something about that song gets me in the christmas spirit everytime, and I'm known to be a bit of a Scrooge. IMO Paul did a modern yuletide classic with that one.

The Lou Rawls (w/Axe and Barnum) album "Ho Ho Ho" is pretty solid all the way, but my boy J*** Hunt has THE definative funky/soulful Xmas album collection, plan to raid it for my yearly Xmas mix gift, so I'll post tracklist soon.
