When still a student, I lived in this ratty place and I used to hear my neighbour yell at his girlfriend most nights and after the yelling I heard what sounded like rough sex. One night it seemed to get out of hand and it sounded way to violent so I got out of bed and knocked on the door of the neighbouring building. Another neighbour from across the street came out of his house and I told him I worried about the girlfriend and that maybe we should call the police. He told me the strangest thing: the weirdo actually didn't have a girlfriend but he had seen a doll through the window. Creepy stuff.
Mongo, You just missed Elena Dorfman's book signing in NY. She is the woman who took those photographs. We went to her opening in February. Terribly not-so-interesting. I can't imagine spending six grand on a doll, much less five grand on a photo of a doll?
