Who knows the deal with Austin DJ's? Are there any good ones that stick out in anyones heads? I am on the hunt for some good ones.peastaters

    For Hip Hop DJ Mel is the best in town in my opinion. I play out every now and then but I'm one of those DJ's that concentrates more on track selection than scratching or tricks.

    And for those that don't know, Baby G is an OG. He won the DMC in like, 1990? Dude goes waaaaaay back.

    And Nick Nack and Mel are definitely very cool folks.

    Baby G is one of the best i have ever seen. Austin or elsewhere. His dancehall cannot be f'cked with, and the dude does a perfect job embracing new music while still giving time to the classics.

    dont know his handle, but Miguel Veliz is an ill dub/reggae DJ, has a weekly somewhere, dont know where though...also plays bass in the best dub group in these Untied States, Sub Oslo.
