Did it really take me this long to hit 1000 measly posts? Clearly I need to step my game up.
That said, I'd like to say thanks to all the "real headz", TheCrates, Alphonse Mouzon, PAP and my motherfucking main man LeToupt (!), for making this a place worth coming back to again and again.
Now it's time to give back.
LOOK:
For the next day or two I'll be hosting an AVI of the video for L'Histoire de Melody Nelson. The quality isn't great but it's still incredible.

I've been having problems viewing it in my browser, but saving it to disk has worked fine.
LISTEN:
I'm also hosting the highlights from the first two Toledo Scott Jazz Ensemble albums, two tracks of which were featured on School House Funk Volumes 1 and 2. I was lucky enough to find them early last Summer, and I think they're pretty amazing. Great lo-fi, amateur version of "What's Going On", "The World is a Ghetto" and others.

Not too sure how long my bandwidth is going to hold out so peep it while it's hot.
Check this out. Crazy.

...and the long lost Diplo comic:
ENJOY, BATCHES!!!!
P.S. I'm in NYC right now. Hit me up.

That's the way to do it!
I'm about to be all up in your server!
HELL YEAH, THANKS
keep enjoying the free stuff.
We seriously need to hang on some chill isht A-squared. Holler at the kid when you stop travelling the world.
That Serge soap-opera is the bomb. Never seen that before. Jane Birkin gives a whole new meaning to the term mini-skirt while swinging her hair around like the L'Oreal girl '71 - you just know she's worth it. Nice little crumpet that one .
But ending the clip like that is like coitus interruptus. I want to see mooooore???;)
Co-sign, thanks for posting that!
I've been playing Kenny Dixon Jr's version a lot lately, but I'm not really sure y'all would dig it:

You've got a witness right here. I love KDJ/Moodymann. I hadn't heard this one so thanks a lot for sharing, very nice. It has the same vibe as the 12-inches he did under the names Pitch Black City and Amp Dog Knight, which he did together with Amp Fiddler, who's on this remix as well. Norma Jean Bell's sax playing is not always my cup of tea, though. A little too much JazzFM for my taste, but I know it's a part of KDJ's vibe.
Got around to listening to Toledo Scott too. Great stuff. I'm partial to the version of "Ghetto", I really like that horn arrangement in the chorus part. Nice and hectic. But yeah, "People" is great as well.
you can pm if you want to keep the information classified.

It's the second album, "Timeless Soul", and also the easier of the two to catch.
