LOL "I need to mint up my Lee Moses sleeve - some asshole put his initials in the top left corner...right by 2 staple holes! "
Anyway, I have a Von Ryan's Express[/b] sleeve (shitty packaging broken record related) - the jacket is actually not so great, with unglued (but not torn) top & bottom sleeves ... however, it comes with an inner sleeve autographed by the entire band, inscribed as signed at "Diamond Jim's" during a celebration of Grey Cup Week 1972!

I have thirty-two sleeveless copies of this killer album of Afro Funk--with a very unusual origin! In the wake of Manu Dibango's big hit (and some kind of failure to register the copyright), many many versions of "Soul Makossa" were recorded and released, some good, some bad! This album is a good example of that situation--and also happens to be a killer bit of lost funk! The group's a studio combo that includes funky drummer Paul Humphrey, organist Charles Kynard, and guitarist David T Walker--and they jam nicely along with other players in an excellent set of hard funky numbers! The record does include a version of "Soul Makossa" that's pretty great--but the real highlights include the breakbeat classic "House Of The Rising Funk", apparently the same version of the track that was issued on a 45 under the name The Chubukos! Other nice ones include "Kissing My Love", "Hot Mud", "Get It", "Hot Doggin", and "Let Me Do My Thing"! Mostly instrumental, apart from a few vocal choruses!

If someone comes across a beatup copy of joe quaterman and free soul... i'll pay at least $30 for decent sleve as i've recently aquired a wlp without one. Beginning to get annoyed without having this luvly piece together again, hook it up! please...
i might have a joe quarterman sleeve, but a big picture in the innersleeve got cut out! so its kinda not a full cover in a way, but it would look legit in a sleeve
you talking about sleve insert? or the actual gatefold... i don't mind damage but someone cutting out the gatefold damn! ruff! ring/edge/overall wear does not bother me since the lp is mint... just desperately need one as my black generic sleve is cramping my style.. i'll def hook someone up nice if they locate this! thanks!

Reissues thoroughly unacceptable. Squalor back.
