You know with this Heatrock thing, I've realized how little I listen to any of my records. I remember originally thinking Mother Nature's Son was shit but this actually isn't bad.

The other thing I find is since I never buy any records at more (nor sell them), I have no idea what records anyone would even want. I can assume that probably 98% aren't anything of notable value - but I wouldn't even know anyway.

Aside from the obvious ones like RAMP - which I coincidentally found out was valuable after I bought it - it's just a trip.

I remember being bored with a Black Rock and Ron 12" I picked up one time on I think DJ Stef's advice... any takers? :P



Maybe I should just do a Guzzo and post a list and let people rip into it.

    While recently digging through my crates, I just found a load of stupid rare Northern stuff that I don't even remember getting. I am contemplating unloading it as I look at the ebay completed auctions. Where and when did I get all this stuff? I love stumbling all other weird but good pieces that you find while digging for funk/soul raers. A couple of current (re)discoveries:

    Cher- All I really Wanna Do (a very nice Dylan cover)
    Up 'N Adam- Rainmaker (earth) psych pop
    The Exciting Voices- Didn't It Rain (Bel Canto) rocking Gospel
    Gene and Debbe- I'll Come Running (TRX) 60s jangle pop

    Look, the whole "auction something off that will hurt you to lose" thing is a great notion, and encourages empathy, but honestly it really doesn't matter. If you auction off any record and donate the proceeds, then you are helping. Even a $5 record would come to $20 with the company match and could feed a family of 4 for a day. It's a great way to contribute if you don't have cash to give.

    I thought I had some things in better condition than they were when I went back and looked at em'
    Every dope record I own is thrashed and I suck at grading....I am a straight thrift store digger...I feel bad selling someone a 125.00 Nathaniel Merryweather that has a waterdamaged cover ... If somebody out there would bid holler and I'll put it up! I want to help!

    hell yeah. i've got a request actually. does anyone have a spare of the 12" of frontline "what is it?". i'd pay $10-$15 on a set sale.

    I think the soulsstrut contingency should just bypass eb*y for the next several weeks altogether - just trade within our community, and have all the proceeds go to the cause.
