45's Or Albums?

Once upon a time the[45]ruled the turntable, but as the decade of the Seventies rolled around albums became the norm for most record lovers so the question is,which do you play more today?

  • 45s, myself, because I've oriented my collecting toward the format.

45s for DJ-ing, albums on the home and work turntable.

I've collected 12" singles for 30 years but love 45's because they are easier to carry around when DJing. Most of the time I play out it's with a crate of 12" still though.

I prefer 45s for the portability, but DJing with 12" is easier.

    My collection looks like this:

    45s - 55%

    LPs - 30%

    12" - 14%

    10"/flexis/5" etc - 1%
