does the strut ride for this?
I don't know anything about her, just always assumed from looking at her album covers that she was along the lines of Joni Mitchell.
just learned about this record because a random LP I picked up down here has a portuguese version of Corazon
plaese to share Carole King heat

I have great memories of watching this in 2nd grade:
Just discovered this gem too... worth hearing.
how is it possible you have never heard the tapestry album?
fantasy and tapestry are filed - i don't listen to them often though.
On a recent relisten I was surprised her vocals are barely passable.
In the early 60s she was a song writer and producer in the Brill Building. Authored or produced numerous hits, especially with the great girl groups. (Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow)
More recently she did a series of concerts at (?The Troubadour?) with James Taylor. They are on youtube and worth a listen. Turns out James Taylor is a great singer and guitarist. And King is a surprisingly inventive on piano.
blame it on me looking at the cover of her records and assuming they're all folky ballads.
now that I've looked up her I realize I know a bunch songs off Tapestry.
I also know this song, thanks to a young girl named Lisa Simpson:
That song pollutes Tapesty like a turd in a fish tank.
Yes it's pedestrian poop.
She seemed to have an ever-present ability to make a bad call though.
"It's Too Late" is a genius combination of melody, mood and execution but then that guitar solo... Stops it from being top ten GOAT for me.
And Alice Babs did Canaan so much better too.
