Mayweather is the best defensive fighter of all-time.

Pacquiao is still 8 division champion.

Judging from yesterday's bout, I think both guys are equal.
Pacquiao was obviously very cautious of Mayweather's counters, and
Mayweather's punches looked light. Weak fight overall.

De la Hoya said it best, "There would not have been a fight if I didn't bring the fight."

    Letdown of the Century.

Mayweather had two types of punches in this fight:
    1) jab - you know the one where you get points for.
    2) power half-ass punches - that you get points for.

And he had this excellent move where he would dodge punches and then wrap up the other guy when he got close.

His demeanor was totally different as well compared to other fights.

There are rumblings of a potential rematch, but I think that's just money talking. And I also read that Manny might be sued for concealing a shoulder injury?

Anyway, I was a huge boxing fan throughout the 90's and early 00's, but it just feels so slow and dull compared to MMA--no disrespect to the boxing fans on here. I miss the days of Roy Jones Jr in his prime, or James Toney, or watching De La Hoya best Pernell Whittaker.

I don't really see how it was a let down when it went exactly as you should have expected it to if you knew anything about these fighters. The only point in watching was the hope that pac had somehow figured out the secret to beating mayweather.

All the people freaking about the shoulder are just dumb. Every althelete is constantly playing hurt in some manner or another. Supposedly he asked for a shot but was denied by the fight officials so he wasn't keeping anything a secret. This no rule that says you have to public disclose injuries prior to a fight.

It was all about money and they made it. You shouldnt have expected any less.
